Sharing Secrets

When Liily is awake and wanting to kick around, we put her down on her play mat. She loves kicking and swinging at the noise makers. Bella Grace loves getting down beside her and singing to her or talking with her. She'll even read her a book. In this picture, Lilly had Bella's hand while Bella Grace was talking to her. Both girls just smiled at each other. I wonder what secrets they were sharing;). We are so blessed and thankful to have two girls in our family now. Isabella is a great big sister and so far she is adjusting well to the new addition to the family!

All this fun made me sleepy!

Between playig dress up with her dolls, painting with water colors, painting a picture with Gigi, and helping take care of Lilly, Bella Grace was exhausted after Gigi and Papa left. She passed out on the couch and her crown didn't even bother her! Lilly loved scrunching down in her bouncy seat to sleep often. This is exactly how she was most of the time in her mama's womb!

More fun with Gigi and Papa

Before Isabella's bed time, we read a book and a Bible story. On this paticular night, she asked Papa to read the story to her. It was "Bear Snores On." She loves those books! Of course before Gigi and Papa left, we had to get a picture of them with their two granddaughters! They were such a big help to us! We are so grateful that they were able to come and help us out so much! While they were here, Lilly had her first doctor appointment. She gained back the weight she had lost while in the hopsital. She weighed 7 pounds 4 ounces. We love you Gigi and Papa!

A visit from Gigi and Papa

Ashley's parents came in Sunday Feb. 12 and stayed a whole week. Gigi cooked, and helped Ashley finish getting Lilly's room ready. Papa loved holding his fourth grandchild and so did Gigi. Gigi also helped give Lilly her first bath. Isabella was also there to help with the bath!

Going Home

We were finally able to head home on Saturday, Feb. 11th. Lilly slept the whole way home (it is only a 10 minute drive). She woke up at home, and started looking around at her new surroundings. We are so excited to be home and are excited to have Isabella back home with us on Sunday.

Mama and her Girls

Thanks to everyone who helped out in making Lilly's arrival go so smoothly! This includes those who kept Isabella while we were in the hopsital, all the visitors, and of course all the prayers! We are blessed to have such wonderful friends and family! Love you! This by the way is Lilly's favorite position-right on mama's chest!

I'm a big sister!

When Isabella came to visit us at the hopsital on Friday, she wanted to hold Lilly. Bella Grace appears to have a look of pride on her face about being her big sister!

On Thursday, February 9, 2012 Lilly Ruth came into this world. Isabella patted her head, said she was pretty, and wanted to change her diaper already. We can tell that Isabella will be a big help;). With the addition of the newest Blackwell family member, we have changed the name of the blog to include both girls!
