Misc. Picture

We had a wonderful Easter weekend celebrating our Savior's death and resurrection. We pray that each of you had a wonderful weekend and spent time reflecting on the cross!

Smelling the Flowers

After taking pictures with mama, Isabella stopped to smell the flowers we have in our backyard. Daddy helped her smell the red rose and she smelled the purple flower all by herself. Isabella thinks everyone ought to take the time to smell the pretty flowers!

More Easter Pictures

It is a rare moment when Mama is able to get a picture with Isabella! I am so glad that she slowed down to pose with me and take a picture!

Easter Lunch 2011

Surprisingly, we did not have to wait too long at Cracker Barrel for lunch. Isabella rocked until our name was called to go in and eat. She loves those rockers!

He is Risen!

He has risen indeed! We had a great morning at church and Isabella was all poses for the camera! Thanks Gigi and Papa for the Easter dress! I got several compliments on it and the purse to go with it! What a great family picture! Praise the LORD for He lives!

Easter Party # 3 continued...

Here are Aaron and Isabella looking for those Easter eggs! Both collected a whole lot of eggs! Aaron found a lot that were hidden in some pretty tough places and helped Isabella find some too!

Easter Party # 3

Mama's good friend, Abby, and her husband Andrew and son (Aaron) came to visit her dad, Mr. Tony. We got together Saturday night for some more egg hunting and cooking out. Aaron and Isabella loved finding the eggs all over the yard and everyone loved eating chips, dip, hot dogs, corn, and Brauts.

Easter Party #2 Continued....

On the left, Isabella and Matt were knocking eggs. For those who do not know what this is (I didn't know either, until Kristi told me), each person takes an egg and knocks them together. Whatever egg cracks first is the loser. Isabella and Matt did several eggs and enjoyed it! On the right, Isabella is petting the dog while Nathan is holding it. We had to remind Isabella to use gentle touches!

Easter Party #2

On Saturday, our friends Kristi and Scott and their boys Nathan and Matt invited us over to her mom's house for another Easter party. Before heading over there, we dyed some eggs at home. Isabella loved it! It was a good thing she was stripped down to her diaper because she got messy! Once we were at the party, Isabella played on the jumper that was a water slide. She down the first time with Mr. Scott and did not want to go down again. She had a lot of fun playing in the water that gathered at the bottom of the slide though. Toward the end of the party, she went down the slide a couple of times with mama and then was ready to go on her own! She loved it:)!! The eggs that she dyed earlier, she found and put in her basket. It was a fun afternoon!

Easter Party #1

On Thursday, Isabella had an Easter party at daycare. She was so excited to come into the kitchen and see her ladybug Easter basket that Gigi got for her! her shirt says "My aunt is my BFF." She had fun searching for her six eggs at day care!

Don't I look pretty?

Grann and Papa B bought this dress for me around Valentine's Day. I have worn it often, but would never pose for a picture until now! Thanks Grann and Papa B for my pretty dress! I love it!

Crawfish Boil with Friends

Isabella experienced her first crawfish boil a few weekends ago. Some friends of ours invited use to her grandparents for a crawish boil. Isabella had fun on the hammock, sitting in a small chair, and riding on the car with Nathan. He did the steering while Isabella enjoyed being escorted around!

This was also the weekend that Isabella stepped into an ant hill and got bit several times on the feet. She broke out in hives on her tummy. Thank God for children's Benadryl! About an hour after taking that, the hives went away and she was left with some ithcy feet!

Painting With Water Colors

Several weekends ago, I pulled out the watera colors for Isabella. She loved painting pictures and her fingers! She stayed at it for a good 20-30 minutes!

I see a squatty potty in the future:)

When I caught Isabella doing this, I just had to take a picture. Her doing this took me back to the time I spent in Africa sharing Jesus. She will be a pro at using a squatty potty over there! When she is older and is able to understand and appreciate the culture, we will all go as a family to Africa to visit and share Jesus.

I hear the train a comin....

We saved the best part of the zoo for last for Isabella. She loved riding on the train. This is not a bad picture if I do say so myself, considering that I took it by holding the camera in front of Isabella and snapping the picture!

Zoo Trip Continued

Top left: Isabella posing by the alligator snapping turtle.

Top Right: She loved feeding the fish!

Bottom left: African lion trying to sleep-Isabella left the glass as the picture was snapping.

It was a fun day at the zoo!

Zoo trip

Earlier today we got up and headed to the zoo before it got too hot. Isabella loved it. On the left (by the tree) Isabella was intently watching the monkey move about. On the right she is watching the hog and attempting to grunt like the hog. She loved seeing all the animals!

Doesn't this just make you laugh?

On this particular night, Isabella insisted on wearing the socks on her hands to sleep. I had Brian get a picture. I thought it was so silly and sweet.

A week after Grann and Papa B came to visit, Gigi and Papa came to spend the week with us. It was such a blessing to have them here. Gigi helped mama out at home and school and Papa helped us out with some things around the house. Unfortunately, we stayed so busy that I didn't get the time to get pictures. From sun up to sun down we were nonstop going going going. Thanks again for coming Gigi and Papa! It was soo good to see you and we love you!

We are blessed to have such wonderful sets of grandparents on both sides who would come a long way to see all of us. We love you all!

Visits from Grandparents

Grann and Papa B came to visit a few weeks ago and we all had a lot of fun. In these two pictures, Isabella loved washing her tea set and serving tea and cake to everybody. Thanks Grann and Papa B for coming to see us! We all love you!
