For Auntie Sara

Mama took a picture of her "sunshine" in the sleeper Auntie Sara gave her. She looks great in these colors and told mom that this is her favorite sleeper! Hopefully she can wear it a little longer before getting much bigger. Thanks Auntie Sara and we will see you soon!
Isabella, mom, and dad went for a check up on Wednesday this week. Isabella has grown to 21 1/4 inches long and weighs 9 pounds and 7 ounces. She continues to do great!

Finally back home

What a blessing and praise we have to give to God! Isabella did great traveling and being in new places. She, like mom and dad though, were glad to be back home. Here she is reading a book. See Gigi, I told you Isabella was turning the pages in her book! She loves this cloth book and she also loves to stick her tongue in and out like she is catching bugs.

Great Aunt Suzie just loved holding Isabella

"Thanks for having such a comfy lap for me to sit in!!" says Isabella. Isabella just loved you holding her and she, like mom and dad loved your place and felt so relaxed there! Both look so calm, peaceful, and relaxed. We all felt that way after staying just one night. We enjoyed our visit! Both Isabella and Aunt Suzie talked and decided to both wear lime green:).

On to MS and Great Aunt Suzie's

We finally made it to Aunt Suzie's in Greenville, MS by 6:30 on Sunday evening. Uncle Frnak briefly held Isabella and she just loved the mustache! I can see both Isabella and Uncle Frank smiling-how sweet! Doesn't that make you smile!

Final Visitor in LA

While mom and dad where dating and married while in LA, their Sunday school teacher was Pat LaCour. We could not leave LA without eating at her husband's resturant (BJs) and letting her love on Isabella. Once again, Isabella slept the whole time. We love all our friends in LA and think of you often!

How precious

Before leaving LA on Sunday, we stopped by to visit the Deshotels one last time. It was the death of Ashley's dear friend Mrs. Darlene that brought them to LA in the first place. Here is her husband, and "like famiy" to Ashley Mr. Tony holding Isabella. She sure did love being held by him, it was so comfortable, it put her to sleep! We miss you already and are praying you through this time.

Sunday dress

Isabella decided to wear the dress Gigi got her to church on Sunday. Doesn't she look adorable? She slept through the whole church service. Must be those luvky Husker booties she's wearing!

We stayed with....

April two nights while in LA. She was great at helping mama give Isabella a bath. She is with her finace Collin. He came over and spent quite a bit of time with us. We enjoyed his and her company. Thanks April for letting us stay with you-it was great to see you! And thanks Collin for visiting with us and cooking for us!

Still in LA

Later on Saturday, Brian and his old roommate Tommy went to see the minor league team play. Tommy stopped by early to meet and visit with Isabella. She was just enchanted with his voice. She sure did take a liking to Tommy and did not want him to leave her for the game. Brian enjoyed the game with friends he had not seen in a long time.

Next Stop: LA

On Saturday, we all went to visit another dear friend of Ashley's-Nita Taylor. Ashley did her observations, and student teaching in Nita's kindergarten class while in college and then taught a semester with her upon graduation. Isabella was just fascinated with her husband, Ed. It was good to see them. And they just loved Isabella and her hair!

Road Trip

An unfortunate and sudden death of a dear friend of Ashley's took the Blackwell's to LA last weekend. We left on a Thursday once Brian finished at work and drove to Jackson, MS where we stayed with some friends, Armstrong's (pictured here). As you can tell, Isabella is sleeping and this is what she did in the car as we drove. Isabella turned 3 weeks while we were traveling, so the pics are of her at 21/2-3 weeks.

GO BIG RED!!

As with the Cubs, Isabella will probably be one of the biggest fans of the Huskers! Mom and Dad can already see her cheering on the big red in a cute little cheerleading outfit! Don't dad and daughter look great in their Husker attire?!

Our Little Cubbie

Can you say GO Cubs GO!! We can already tell that she will be one of the Cubs biggest fan!!

Play Time

Early each morning, after Isabella has eaten, momma and her have play time. As you can tell, Isabella managed to put these clips on her wrist and look at herself in the mirror. She is already deciding to wear jewelry! Maybe a Ms. Priss?!

More company

Ashley's best friend from Louisiana went to St. Louis on a family vacation and stopped into see us at our home in Cape. It was great for mom to see her and for Isabella to meet momma's dearest friend!

More family visits

Ashley's mom and dad made it into Cape Monday after Isabella arrived. The new mom was so excited to see them and show off the precious little one. They stayed and were a big help to mom and dad for a whole week:)!! We all loved the visit and the company!!!
Brian's parents came to see us and precious Isabella for a few days shortly after we got home. We all had a great visit!
